Burden of the body is directly proportional to dilation of time

This short film is a project realized in response to interviews conducted as part of Topological Atlas research project, through the specific lens of understanding how temporality behaves as the body takes and/or shreds burden triggered by space or situations. The analysis of these research findings led to creative equations using mathematical methods to raising the burden (power) of the body in which the body feels as if the mass has increased resulting in dilating the experience of time. This film performs a few equations to visually illustrate the mathematical analysis.

 

This fim has been commissioned by Topological Atlas project, which has recieved funding from the European Research Council(ERC) under the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No. 758529)

This film was shown at the Istanbul Biennale 2022 at Müze Gazhane.
